Once you have selected your favorite Retreat, navigate to the “Book Today” area of the Retreat page. Select your check in and check out dates, and the total number of guests. Once entered, the Subtotal cost (total nightly rate + Cleaning fee + any applicable Extra Guest fees) of your stay will be displayed. Press the continue button to calculate the total taxes, acknowledge the 3.5% credit card fee (only charged if using credit card for payment), and complete the Rental Agreement/Payment Form. You will need to upload a valid ID, and provide an email address. Once the required documents are submitted, a member of our team will be alerted to your request, and will reach out to you as soon as possible. For faster service, you may text a valid ID to Denise at 352-789-1569.
Nightly rates at The Downtown Retreat are based on a two (2) guest occupancy. Beyond the first two guests, an Extra Guest fee of $10 per person, per night applies to adults and children aged 12 and over, with a maximum total occupancy of 4 guests, including children.
Nightly rates at The Horseman’s Retreat are based on a four (4) guest occupancy. Beyond the first four guests, an Extra Guest fee of $10 per person, per night applies to adults and children aged 12 and over, with a maximum total occupancy of 6 guests, including children.
A. 11.5% Taxes are calculated on the total Nightly Rate + any applicable Extra Guest fees + the Cleaning fee. The 11.5% is comprised of 6.0% Florida Sales Tax, 1.5% Local Sales Tax and 4.0% Local Tourist Tax.
Yes, a 3.5% transaction fee applies to the transaction total. Any Credit Card fees paid are non-refundable (i.e. in the case of cancellation). We offer fee free payment options such as Zelle, Venmo and Cash App.

100% Refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours and at least 14 days before check in. 50% Refund up to 7 days before arrival.
A 60% deposit is due at booking, with the 40% balance is due 7 days before arrival. 100% payment due if booking less than 14 days before arrival.
Add the total Nightly Rate + any applicable Extra Guest fees + the Cleaning fee for a Subtotal. Calculate 11.5% taxes on the Subtotal for a Transaction total. If using a credit card for payment, calculate 3.5% on the Transaction total.
Example; 3 guests will stay 2 nights at the Downtown Retreat Three at $114 per night.
$114.00 X 2 nights = $228.00 Total Nightly Rate
$ 10.00 X 2 nights = $20.00 Extra Guest fee
$ 79.00 X 1 = $79.00 Cleaning fee
Subtotal $327.00
$327 X 11.5% = $37.61 Taxes
$327 + $37.61 = $364.61
$364.61 Total Due if using Zelle, Venmo or Cash App for payment

No, to protect our allergy sensitive guests, smoking, vaping and pets/animals are strictly prohibited at all Ocala Vacation Rental properties.
Yes! There is a new Publix located a half mile from the Downtown Retreat in the Churchill Square Shopping Plaza.
There is a Winn Dixie located 1.2 miles from the Horseman’s Retreat in the Ocala Spring Shopping Center.
Yes! There are several great restaurants right in the Churchill Square Shopping Center a half mile from the Downtown Retreat. Pronto Pizza is a great quick meal and Longhorn’s Steakhouse offers an incredible steak.
Sam’s St. John’s Seafood is one of our favorites, located in the Ocala Spring Shopping Center 1.2 miles from the Horseman’s Retreat.
Baby items are available upon request, but must be reserved prior to your arrival date. Baby items such as a high chair, travel crib, and a pack & play are available. When requesting your reservation, you can make note in the “Additional Information” field on the Booking Request page. You can also text your requests to Denise at 352-789-1569 or email Booking@Ocalavacationrental.com.
